To keep a Snapstreak going, both Snapchatters must send a Snap (not Chat) back and forth to each other within a 24 hour window. Tapping on this banner is another way you can restore the Streak. In Chat, you’ll see a banner that notifies you that your Streak with that friend has ended. If a Streak has ended recently, you’ll see a ‘Restore’ button next to that friend’s name on your Chat feed. If you recently lost your Snapstreak, you can restore it with one free Snapstreak Restore or with an in-app purchase from the Chat feed and individual Chat conversations. To be able to restore your Streak in the app, make sure your Snapchat app is updated to the latest version.
